The ERAPOL EME Series is a 4-component system based on MDI-POLYESTER. With the addition of a catalyst, you yourself have the freedom in the speed of the system.
This system has some clear performance advantages compared to some of the more traditional high-quality polyurethane elastomers. The polyurethane elastomer exhibits excellent physical properties, including good tensile strength, high resilience and excellent wear properties as well as excellent hydrolytic stability. There are also clear advantages in terms of processing, including low viscosity at processing temperatures and lower chemical hazards when handling the components.
MDI-based systems have a lower isocyanate smell than their TDI counterparts. In addition, MDI gives good hydrolysis resistance and often have a higher resilience.
The EME Series is available from shore 55A to 95A. Difference between EME and EMD series POLYESTER: The EME is recommended for applications where components undergo dynamic stress, i.e. they build up less heat. High resilience, low temperature performance and resistance to water (hydrolysis). The EME is also suitable for FDA applications
POLYETHER: The EMD is recommended for applications where parts require superior cutting, tear, wear, oil and solvent resistance
