Antigel KF

Product information

The chemical base of ANTIGEL KF is a mixture of antioxidants and additives in a solvent. Its multifunctionality is based on the interaction between the different components in the mixture. The oxygen-binding properties of the antioxidant ensure viscosity stability. The wetting/dispersion components reduce the interfacial tension between pigments and binder, therefore causing the pigments to be well distributed, resulting in an optimum depth of color.

ANTIGEL KF helps optimize the through-drying of paint film without increasing the drying process. By interfering in the oxidation process, it prevents the reaction of oxygen with the resin molecules avoiding film formation. ANTIGEL KF is therefore able to substitute MEKO.  

ANTIGEL KF is free of ketoximes. It has similar functionalities as ANTIGEL and ANTIGEL KF-D but it is formulated differently. With a maximum dosage between 0,1 and 0,5 % on total formulation, is ANTIGEL KF mainly recommended to be used for anti-skinning purposes.


APPLICATIONS:
ANTIGEL KF can be used in most water and solvent-based resin systems. Such as Alkyds, Alkyd/melamine, Alkyd/polyester, Alkyd/Acrylic, Acrylates, Polyesters, PU, Epoxy and Acid curing system.

It is suitable for different application fields, think of Adhesives, Can/Coil Coating, Wood coating, Decorative-, Marine -, Wall -, Architectural- and Corrosion inhibitive paints.
