Solplus D560 is a fully active polymeric dispersant specifically formulated for the dispersion of inorganic pigments and fillers in unsaturated polyester and epoxy systems. This solvent-free product offers numerous benefits, including higher filler loadings, improved wetting, lower dispersion viscosities, and excellent storage stability.
Typical Applications:
- Dispersion of inorganic pigments or fillers such as TiO2, ATH, and Calcium Carbonate into elevated temperature cured polyester resins for applications like SMC/BMC.
- Dispersion of inorganic pigments or fillers into epoxy systems.
Solplus D560 should be dissolved in the resin throroughly before the additons of pigments or fillers. typically a dosage of 1% SOlplus d560 on the weight of fillers is effective. for Inorganic pigments the dosage level is typically 2mg active dispersant per square metre of pigment surface area. this is simply the surface area divided by 5. for TiO2 this is commonly in the region of 1 to 3% Agent on the Weight of Pigment. Adjustments to dosage may be needed based on the specific pigment or filler grade used, with higher surface area materials requiring a larger dose to provide stability.
Storage/RRD:
Packed in 25kg pails and 200kg drums.
Recommended Re-test Date (RRD): 2 years.
For storage, refer to the MSDS. Note that the product may become hazy and viscous at low temperatures.
If necessary, warm to 20-30°C and stir well before use.
